Lee Kirk and Colin Campbell first collaborated on Hercules, a short film that
was conceived, shot and edited within 48 hours as part of the Instant Film
Festival. Inspired by the success of Hercules, Colin then wondered if they
could pull off a similar feat with a full length feature. He approached Lee in
October 2006 and propositioned him with the challenge of trying to complete a
feature in six months. Writing under specific constraints of budget and
locations, Lee wrote Pants on Fire in under two months and the film began
shooting in March 2007. In addition to Pants on Fire, Lee has written the award
winning featurette The Man Who Invented the Moon and numerous other short films, including festival favorites Henry and Veronica and Cliff. His critically
acclaimed play, Sad Happy Sucker, was produced in January of 2007 by Saint Ed.
